Dr. Lucas Minig joins the “Juana Crespo Team” in Valencia

From this month of April, Dr. Lucas Minig expands his services to Equipo Juana Crespo, a clinic specialized in highly complex reproductive medicine. Dr. Minig will be in charge of the Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery Unit.

Endometriosis is a benign disease that may require highly complex surgery. The great challenge posed in this new specialized unit is to be able to offer the patient a personalized treatment, and in the event that a surgical procedure is necessary, that the surgery be as least invasive as possible to minimize the impact on the woman and return the affected organs the ability to be fertile naturally or assisted and improve the quality of life of the patient.

The great challenge that arises in this new specialized unit is to be able to offer the patient a personalized treatment.

In the words of Dr. Crespo “Endometriosis requires highly complex surgery. Although it is a benign disease, its invasive behavior on the reproductive organs is similar to that of oncological tumors. Endometriosis surgery requires very high-level expert surgeons to resolve extremely difficult situations: endometriosis of the recto-vaginal septum, deep adenomyosis, adhesions, intestinal and/or bladder involvement. Choosing Dr. Minig responds to the clinic’s philosophy of offering the highest level of excellence in the most complex cases”.

After a long experience in highly complex gynecological surgery, Dr. Minig states that “women with endometriosis require a true multidisciplinary approach that goes beyond the aspect of the disease itself. Many of them tend to carry the progressive deterioration of the quality of life that we must also know how to understand and understand in order to know how to select the best treatment for each one of them”.

This Endometriosis Unit, directed by Dr. Minig, is dedicated to the early diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, especially designed for those highly complex cases that require global treatment, and on many occasions high-precision surgery.

Dr. Lucas Minig continues to be part of the Valencian Institute of Oncology (IVO) in Valencia where since 2014 he is the Head of the Gynecology Service. There, he develops both minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of gynecological cancer, as well as highly complex cytoreduction surgery for women with advanced ovarian cancer; within a multidisciplinary team together with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, etc…
